APN Settings for Outdoor 4G Router
APN, short of Access Point Name, is the gateway to access the mobile network. The 4G router must be configured with the correct APN to make a data connection with the mobile carrier’s network.
You can use below APN parameters or contact your mobile phone carrier to ask for their latest APN settings. Generally speaking, you can change APN settings on the mobile interface of the 4G router. Please check below operation method of different models of 4G routers.
Log in the router at 192.168.30.1.
Click “Network” on the top menu. Click “Interface“.
On the row of “Mobile“, click the “Edit” button
Input APN under the tab of “General Setup”.
APN: the APN gateway address
PIN: PIN code of SIM card *Usually non-required
PAP/CHAP username: Username
PAP/CHAP password: Password
Dial number: For 4G-PPP protocol only
Click “Save & Apply” to apply the new APN parameters. Then back to Network / Interface to check the updated status of the mobile interface. It usually takes a few seconds to re-setup the mobile internet connection.
