FSPL Wi-Fi Coverage Calculator
FSPL, short of Free-space Path Loss, is the attenuation of radio energy between transmitter and receiver antennas. Below is the simple calculator of checking Wi-Fi range and signal strength base on the FSPL formula. You can select output power of Wi-Fi AP/Router/Booster, and select the antenna gain, then you will get the estimated signal strength in terms of theory.
The calculation is base on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi frequency. The 5.8GHz frequency will loss extra 6dB signal strength.
